                              ‘ending with the telegram from tho Govorrtnont of

                              for your information a copy of tho lotter cited

                                4th May 1922.
                                                                       2. The situation
                              at Bahrain ins radically altered since the decision
                              for the deportation of Abdullah was reached and
                              it is hoped that the necessity may not arise.
                              If however a renewal of nils conduct by Abdullah
                              should render his deportation unavoidable, the
                              Government of Lidia agree that this stop, undesir-
                              able as it is, will liavo to bn taken,   You should
                              however, if possible, rofer to the Government of
                              India before taking any drastic step.
                                3. It is left to your discretion whether to
                              convoy a warning to Abdullah or not at present.
