Translated Purport of a letter

Received 1st August 1869

AG Resident's letters of 25th Rubee ool Awai <5th July 1869) and
2nd Rubee Tanee <12th July 1869) received, I have understood their
contents.
In regard to your excusing yourself from coming to Bahrain on the
plea that I had not stated the reasons for wishing you to be here
thinking it had reference to matters at sea, Syud Manjid ben Syud
Durwelsh will now wait on you and you will learn my desires from him
verbal 1y.
If after ascertaining my wishes you find it convenient to come
to Bahrain please do so and it will be very good. Otherwise Syud
Manjid is the trusted Agent on my part and on the part of the family
Ebrahlm and Esau, in any matter that may be arranged by you. We
have left this matter in his and your hands. Syud Manjid has given
his consent and I am willing to abide by his action.
