Baluch raids, which were so frequent in former days in the Kerman pro
vince, have ceased for the last two or three years.
Ritdbar.—The authorities have now got the districts of Jirfut and Kudbar
well under control. The once all-poworful Zargham-us-Saltanch is now reduced
to a nonentity. Most of his estates have been attached by the Finance authori
ties on account of arrears of revenue due from him, and his son and son-in-law
have been under detention in Kerman for the last year or two, in connection with
certain law suits, both civil and criminal.
