4. We append below lists of Governors-General of Fars and the Governors
of Bushire, and Bandar Abbas so far as could be gathered from the Gulf
Administration Reports and the Records.
A.—Governors-General of Fars.
Hissam-ul-Sultaneh, 1873.
Mo'etemed-ul-Mulk, Yahya Khan Farman Farma, August 1876.
Mo’etemed-ul-Dowleh Ferhad Manzur (an elder brother of Hissam-ul-
Sultaneh and uncle of the King), August 1876.
Zil-es-Sultan (at Tehran), 1883 (with the exception of Lingah and Bandar
Abbas directly under Amin-es-Sultan, who had general control of customs
throughout Persia).
[His son a minor in charge at Shiraz, under the management of Saheb
Dewan.]
Amin-es-Sultan—February 1888 [who appointed Ihitsham-ud-Dowleh, Gov
