At the first meeting of the Board of Foreign Missions following
upon General Synod the usual organization for the year takes place. i:

At the meeting in June of this year the unusual responsibility rested '
upon the Board of providing for the vacancy in the office of Presi­ •■ *
dent owing to the death of Rev. Dr. John G. Fagg on May 3rd. By
the ’i
unanimous choice of a large membership of the Board in attend- :
ance the Rev. Henry Evertson Cobb, D.D., becomes the President of :
the Board.
