to Dcbai, to which port Juma bu Bntlain himself repaired, and finding his
boat was delayed, betook hor to Abu Thabi, got substitutes for the absconders,
and despatched her to the pearl banks, on arrival, she fell in with the bug-
garah of Hamid bin Far, in which were 4 of her runaway divers and accordingly
sho bore down upon the buggarah, and, after wounding two of the crew, seized
upon the fourth.
70. When Juma bu Buttain’s boat returned to Abu Thabi, Zaid bin Kalifa
laid hold of the ofTender, confined him in the citadel, and sent tho divers to the
British Agont at Shargah.
71. In accordance with the Resident’s recommendation, the Bombay
Government authorized him to communicate to the Chiof of Abu Thabi their
satisfaction with his conduct on tho abovo occasion and to make a slight
increase in the valuo of the next annual present with an intimation of the
reason for tho same (letter No. 5416, dated 31st December 1855).
