            visit Sowan and Ajmcro on hearing this, left for Charbar ■with Sirdar Mahmud
            Khan on the 24th May to pacify his people.
                In March Hot Wall Muhammad, a headman of Parag District, who
            receives a subsidy from the Telegraph Department, killed the murdorcr of
            fakir Muhammad his father.                                                   !
                In April there was fighting between Ahmed Khan and -Asliraf Khan,
            hut no casualties on either side were reported.
                Since the time when Mir Barkat’s brother was killed by the followers      i
            of Mir Ha ji a state of tension prevailed between the two Chiefs and ended in
            the death of Mir Ilaji in October.
                In November fighting occurred between Mahmud Khan and Din Muham­
            mad Khan in which the former is reported to have lost two men and 60 camels
            and cows. Mahmud Khan made overtures for peace and Din Muhammad
            was reported to have proposed to Mahmud Khan as a condition of peace that
            they should combine and plunder tho customs at Charbar. Mahmud Khan
            is reported as havincr refused to participate. During the trouble tho Director
            of Customs at Charbar was allowed the uso of a room in the telegraph
            station in which to sleep at night. It is reported that the two Chiefs have
            now made peace.
