In March 1935 when His Excellency the Minister of Education visited
Kerman, he inspected the school and examined some of the classes. He
expressed himself as pleased with all he saw, and promised recognition of
the school with permission to develop normal work if desired. He also
promised the help of Government teachers, but owing to local shortage of
suitable masters, no help has been given so far.
The School Company of Girl Guides has been revived, but at present it is
working unofficially and without uniform. The Government has started
an organisation for Persian Guides and steps arc being taken to link the
Company to the Persian organization, instead of to the International
                    Guides in London.
Miss Woodroffc states that in her dealings with the local educational
authorities, she has always been treated with civility and encouragement.
