Safety and health
                              in construction

The need to develop improved safety and health practices in the
construction industry is well recognised by those responsible for
framing provisions in this sector. This code of practice is intended
for use by competent authorities, committees, management or
                              employers' and workers' organisations.

The present volume, an update of an earlier code of practice,
takes into account the changes in working practices and conditions
which have arisen over the past few decades and new areas
requiring protective measures in the industry.
It aims to provide guidelines and practical recommendations
and covers such areas as: the safety of workplaces; personal
protective equipment and protective clothing; health hazards; and
                              construction equipment and machinery.
