In fact, PLT grants Molly-Mae so much creative freedom, that they recently appointed her Creative Director of the company. However, what happens when a brand gains negative publicity? Recently, several individuals protested Molly-Mae and Pretty Little Thing’s fast-fashion runway event, due to the history the brand has had with paying their factory workers low wages as well as their contribution to our current climate emergency (Katnoria, 2022). What does a poor brand reputation entail for someone like Molly-Mae who has worked so hard to build her authenticity?
