Community Giving is Community Living

What is signi cant is that we, as individuals and families, have the power to make positive changes
in our communities. All it takes is us deciding to do so. We can start an annual community block
party, or community cook-o . Maybe get together with our neighbors to feed and provide information
about resources to the homeless in our community. Perhaps we can give out books to all the children
or help an elderly neighbor get some yard work done. We could help fund-raise for our local businesses
and do our best to nd out what is going on in our community to make a positive change.
We can even take one from Hershey’s book and host a s’more get together with our neighborhood.
As the song goes, by song writer Roger Hodgson:
"Give a little bit…There's so much that we need to share, so send a smile and show you care."
