The Identity
The Quantum Nicosia Marathon is a sporting event that significantly contributes
to society and culture!
Thus, while its overall design is based on organisational excellence, and it is
dedicated to the pluralistic promotion of values, with friendship and charity
being the dominant ones.
Basic Features:
Ü It is organised by the Athanasios Ktorides Foundation and held under the
auspices of the Nicosia Municipality on the second Sunday of December.
Ü 2010 was the first year of its organisation. It includes five official races with
the Marathon Race being the highlight.
Ü Before and after the day of the marathon, cultural and sporting activities are
organised to promote the spirit of the Marathon and Nicosia.
Ü It is the most important sporting event that takes place on the streets of
Nicosia.
Ü Proceeds from entries are donated to charity.
The Nicosia International Marathon has three aspects:
The Athletic, the Cultural and the Educational.
