Processor Setup
Set up the processor prior to first use or after a factory reset. During the setup process, you will
select the language for the for the Crestron Home Setup app, enter the system and dealer
information, and accept the legal and privacy terms.
NOTE: To install the Crestron Home processor, refer to CP4-R or MC4-R manual.
Additionally, you can load a Crestron Home Configurator or myCrestron backup configuration
during the setup process.
l To set up a processor and load a configuration created using the Crestron Home
Configurator, refer to Deploy a Configuration (on page 581).
NOTE: To update (redeploy) a configuration, refer to Update a Previously-Deployed
Configuration (on page 289).
l To set up a processor and restore a myCrestron Residential Monitoring Service backup
configuration refer to Migrating Crestron Home Processors (on page 941).
To set up a new or factory reset processor:
1. Open the Crestron Home Setup app and then connect to the Crestron Home processor.
NOTES
l The Crestron Home processor and the device running the Crestron Home Setup
app must be placed on the same subnet prior to setting up the system.
l If the Crestron Home Setup app does not connect to the Crestron Home processor
automatically, enter the Crestron Home processor's hostname and select
Connect. The default hostname for a Crestron Home processor is "[Product-
Name]-[MAC Address]" (excluding punctuation). For example, "CP4-R-
123A567B91C3." The MAC address label is located on the bottom or rear of the
device.
2. Set the Admin username and password in the Create Admin Account dialog box.
NOTE: If security was enabled before the upgrade, the credentials are retained. Use the
credentials set previously to log in.
