After conquering the State Hometown Games by garnering 1st place spots for Shot Put and Softball Throw, as well as 3rd place for the Walking Relay, our team is PUMPED to go to State this June 5th-7th at UW-Stevens Point! Our Tigers practiced hard all season with new track coach John Salm. “His experience with the team and his good-na- tured encouragement has brought our team a long way. Without John or our wonderful volunteers: Karen S, Linda A, Olivia D, Callie B and Emily E, we would not have had the coordination that led to our success this season. We are looking forward to a spectacular bowl- ing season... as well as new and exciting fundraising opportunities for our agency that are now in the works,”
says Agency Manager Samantha LoSapio.
Recently brought on to handle logistics, Samantha
hopes to bring a fun and energizing dynamic to the team. For example, she recently arranged to have ath- letes Steve Kratz and Dana Yancy sing the national an- them at Regionals this year. Their duet was met with
the crowd’s “roar” of approval. Over the summer, she’s planning an athlete, volunteer and supporter meet and greet luncheon. When asked what she would like for the Tigers, Samantha stated “There is nothing that helps a team more than fans... and we need a resurgence of team pride. We invite our community to show their support for our team at State or even just practices. Our team thrives on encouragement –
and a little from each of you would really add up.”
You can help support the Tigers by coming out to the Chilton Dairy Queen on Tuesday, June 24th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A portion of that day’s proceeds will be do- nated to our team. We will also have donation buckets and raffle items! Interested in volunteering, coaching or showing support in the stands? Contact Samantha LoSapio at (920) 849-9351 x119 or at slosapio@newhopeinc.org.
