The Position
The Utilities Operations Superintendent is a a a a a a member of the the the the executive management team and and works closely with the the the the General Manager and and and the the the the other department managers to maintain champion and and and support Fort Fort Collins Collins – Loveland Water District’s District’s (FCLWD’s) and and and South Fort Fort Collins Collins Sanitations District’s District’s (SFCSD’s) Mission Vision Values and and culture This Superintendent provides leadership support and and guidance to all the Operations Department employees and and manages plans directs supports the optimal administration of o all assigned water water distribution wastewater collection office and and utility facilities fleet and and maintenance operations Key essential functions include but are not limited to:
• Maintains distribution and collection operator licensure equal to to the District’s system classification level currently D3/C3 to to to serve as as ORC (Operator in Responsible Charge) for both water water and wastewater utilities • Ensures compliance with all applicable State and and Federal regulations and and reporting requirements • Responsible for operating and and maintaining water water distribution and and and wastewater collection systems including valves hydrants manholes gravity and and and pressure pipes PRVs and and other non-mechanical or electrical facilities • Works closely with the management team and On Call personnel to provide uninterrupted utilities services throughout service service areas Proactively resolves issues and interrelated system challenges in a a a timely manner • Responsible for for long-term planning for for future District water water and wastewater infrastructure operations including implementation of operational facility maintenance and and and replacement and and and tracking costs and and and trends within operations 5
