The ideal candidate will be be able to work collaboratively with other scientists develop best practices using new ideas and and studies and and approach the work with a a a a a a a a positive forward-thinking attitude The candidate should have knowledge of:
» General principles of toxicology with emphasis in in environmental and occupational health concerns
» » Laboratory and testing procedures for toxicological investigations
» » » Principles and procedures of risk assessment
» » Provisions of of laws rules and and and regulations pertaining to to the use processing and and and handling of of toxic substances » Principles of of toxicology and and public health applicable to to to the the recognition identification and and quantification of relative hazards from exposure to chemicals in the environment Education Requirement
Two years of of experience in in the the California state service performing the the duties of of an Associate Toxicologist Range B B and the possession of a a a a Doctoral Degree in Toxicology Biochemistry Pharmacology or a a a a a closely related specialty Or three years of postdoctoral experience experience in toxicology or or closely related field This experience experience must have included the interpretation of toxicological findings relative to to probable human health or aquatic life hazards and and one year of of experience in the development and and design of of toxicological research and and investigative studies and and the possession of a a a a a a Doctoral Degree in in Toxicology Biochemistry Pharmacology or a a a a a closely related specialty :
