■ The Organization
The County Commission is is is the the the Executive as as well as as the the the Legislative branch for Flathead County The Commission Commission consists of three elected Commissioners and is is is is responsible for county policies subdivision review passing resolutions and ordinances zoning setting appropriations setting setting levies for County funds setting setting of fees rural improvement districts special districts and and appointing residents to boards and and commissions The County is in fin excellent financial condition with healthy reserves and funded capital plans The County Commission appoints the Library Board of of Trustees which consists of of five county residents serving 5-year rotating terms (i e e e e e e e e e e e e e there could be be one new board member each year) The Board of of Trustees is charged with the the regular oversight of of the the library system including the the the appointment of the the the Library Director adopting the the the library’s budget and establishing library policies ImagineIF Libraries includes a a a a a a a a a a central library in in in in Kalispell and branches in in in in Columbia Falls Bigfork and and Marion ImagineIF is a a a a a a a a a a participatory library that designs hands-on learning experiences for people of all ages With a a a a a focus on

outreach and community connection ImagineIF delivers many services outside of o the library buildings It offers over 100 000 titles itself and through the intrastate library loan ImagineIF has access to over 800 000 different titles ■ The Position
Under the the the direct supervision of of of the the the Library Board of of of Trustees the the the Director of of of ImagineIF Libraries leads the the organization collaboratively developing and implementing the the Library’s strategic vision and and and plan and and and ensuring the the fulfillment of the the Library’s mission and and and future success The Library Director:
» Plans organizes and directs all aspects of library service » Is a a a a a a a a a a a a a a supportive contributor and and and and and team player in local communities through relationships with County and and and and City officials Library Friends and and and and Foundation and and and and other agencies and and and and organizations » Develops and and and manages the the annual budget and and and the the capital improvement plan and and and provides responsible stewardship of Library funds » Works with the State State Library and and State State Legislature to achieve library initiatives legislation and funding for libraries
