Candidates must have extensive demonstrated knowledge of the day-to-day operations maintenance and and development of various parks after school recreation and community services The new Director shall be accessible and and approachable as as well as as have the the ability to collaborate and and partner with other City departments outside agencies community community advocates citizen groups and and community community organizations and and successfully build relationships with key stakeholders in a a a a a a a community and effectively articulate the City’s vision for green space recreational and after-school programs The ideal candidate shall also have a a a a a a a a a a a a a record of straightforward and and and open communication and and and a a a a a a a a a a a a a willingness to make effective decisions within the the the parameters of the the the position as as well as as the the the ability to act calmly and quickly in in emergency situations or under adverse conditions The Director of Parks After School Recreation and Community Services shall also have these core competencies:
