THE POSITION
Under general direction the Deputy Director for Family and and Children’s Services plans implements coordinates and and directs the Department of Social Services’ Family and Children’s Services Services program which include: Prevention services Emergency Response Child Abuse Hotline Foster Care Resource Home Approval and Permanency Services leads staff in in in providing program and/or administrative services and and does other work to support the the Department’s mission The Deputy Director for for Family and and Children’s Services is is responsible for for the direction and and supervision through a a a a management team that includes second level managers (e g g g g g g Program Managers) of one or or or more major program areas branches/divisions within the Department of Social Services Incumbents develop recommend and implement program services policies and and procedures and and administrative support
