Competitive candidates will possess (6) six years of progressively responsible experience in the field of a a a a a a a traditional Public Works operations for a a a a a a a public agency directly related to: administering the maintenance and operation of of public facilities administration of of fleet maintenance including on-site fleet mechanics and related service with a a a a a a a a Corporate Yard administering and and implementing the maintenance and and improvement of public streets sidewalks and and related related areas and and similar directly related related experience A minimum of three (3) years of management and supervisory experience is is required A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or or university is preferred In the absence of of of a a a a a bachelor’s degree a a a a a minimum of of of ten (10) years of of of increasingly responsible experience in in a a a a a a a traditional Public Works operation with a a a a a a a minimum of of five (5) years at at the level of of Assistant Director Director or or or Director Director is is acceptable Licenses
Possession of of a a a a a a a a a State of of California driver’s license and the ability ability to maintain insurability under the City’s vehicle insurance program is required
