The City of Rialto California is seeking an an experienced Project Manager (Engineering) with construction administration experience This is is is an an exciting and new opportunity to manage multiple complex projects from initial concept through each step of the project from environmental phase design and construction The ability to coordinate with consultants and effectively oversee all construction management firms involved on on the projects is is a must in in in order to be successful in in in this position Additionally the ability to mitigate issues interpret contract specifications and manage budgets on on contract funding is critical The ideal candidate will also possess:
» The ability to interact and develop professional relationships with various stakeholders
» Strong organizational skills in order to manage multiple projects at at any given time
» Excellent oral and written communication skills » A Professional Civil Engineering License is desirable alternatively construction management experience in in the public public or or or or or private sector working with or or or or or for public public works contractors
■ Position Responsibilities
Under general direction from the the City Engineer Engineer the the Project Manager (Engineering) will perform a a a a a wide variety of of complex and professional work in in the planning organizing and coordination of the City’s capital projects including administration and delivery of the City’s 5-Year Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Additionally this position will monitor and and evaluate the execution of assigned projects and and professional and technical staff assistance relative to assigned area of of responsibility The Project Manager (Engineering) will be assisted by administrative technical and other support staff however this this position position this this position position is is is required to work independently with general supervision provided by the City Engineer and to use excellent judgment regarding delivery of the City’s CIP
