The Red Well-Read Reader

        Story 169

                                               No Script!

                                     The actress quipped

I will be laid in a tomb or crypt,

As dead as the pharaohs of Egypt,

Before I read lines of any script.

My public has never been gypped

Because my style has never been clipped,

So now as before my public will hear

Only adlibbed words that I have lipped.

        Story 170

                                          The Swiss Miss
Oh the land of Swiss is a land of bliss. You ask, why is this?

It's because every miss always looks so prim and priss.

And although little boys may hiss, none can resist the

               maidens’ sweet, sweet kiss.

        Story 171

                                                        A Tasty Dish

                                            Oh how I wish
That I could catch the fish

                                            That makes the water swish

For it would make such a tasty, tasty dish
