Notes On Usage

Index of Titles: Each title incorporates the root that is focused on in the

corresponding story. And the titles are color-coded and grouped into twenty categories.

Stories: Many multi-syllabic words are broken into syllables and separated by raised
dots. The syllabication reflects pronunciation but does not necessarily reflect the
              hyphenation as seen in dictionaries.

Families: Every spelling of a root word is printed in a different color. The plus sign (+)
              indicates an alternate pronunciation.

Phonics Charts: Charts 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b and 3c are to be used in tandem with one another.

The various colors and numbers reflect the spellings of identical sounds.
