                                                     The Earl and Cheryl

Merrill was a well-mannered English earl.

One morning as he drew his drapes into furls, he saw

through his window the most beautiful girl with golden

cas•ca•ding curls. At once his head began to whirl as he

                                       saw buttercups, gol•den•rods, and mar•i•golds – all in a

swirling whorl. Right then he knew he’d give the single life

a hurl and marry the lovely Cheryl.

And when she said yes, the thankful earl kissed the sweet girl and promised her

        the world!

                                                                                       The life of the Worm

Being that the bird is un•a•fraid of any germ, all day long it pecks the

berm looking for the worm. Unfortunately for the worm, no matter

how des•per•ate•ly it may squirm, it cannot escape the beak in which

it’s held so firm. This is why the life of the worm is but a short, short

               term.
