KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Steve Keesal served in Afghanistan and Iraq with
the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, United
States Army Special Operations Command.
The missions were intense and operational
tempo during these deployments was high.
The extreme lifestyle change upon his return
home left him suffering from alcoholism and
without a sense of purpose. He has experienced
a miraculous recovery by the grace of God, a
twelve step program and a lifestyle of service.
Steve looks forward to sharing his story with
you and relating how the daily maintenance of
his spiritual condition strengthens him as he
navigates a fulfilling life.

Steve serves on the Board of Directors of
the Long Beach Community Foundation, the
American Gold Star Manor, and the Long Beach
Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He is
a former member of the Board of New Directions
for Veterans and Director Emeritus of the Board
of Fisher House Southern California. In 2009
the Speaker of the California State Assembly
honored him as Veteran of the Year. He served
as the 101st President of the Rotary Club of
Long Beach during the 2017 Centennial year.
Steve is an Associate Director - Investments
with Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. He lives in Long
Beach with his wife Hope.
