This weekly Zoom will take place each Friday during the session from January 17- May 2, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. CT. These calls are open to any county employee who wishes to attend. Pre-registration is required.Please feel free to join as often as your schedule allows. We will review what happened that week with the Legislature, share with you what to expect the following week, discuss what we need your help with and how you can get plugged in, and answer any questions that you may have.Register for the 2025 Legislative Liaisons weekly Zoom call series in advance. You will receive a confirmation email with Zoom meeting connection information.REGISTER HEREKDOT unveils extensive updates to KanDriveThe Kansas Department of Transportation has added new features to the KanDrive road and weather information website and mobile app in an effort to improve safety and create an enhanced travel experience for drivers across the state.The new interactive navigation features were developed as part of the U.S. 83 Advanced Technology Project currently underway, and most will be available for use statewide. The U.S. 83 Corridor Project extends from the southern Finney County line to the northern Thomas County line.KanDrive already provides real-time travel information including road conditions, closures, camera/video footage and construction and detour information. New features and upgrades that were designed to provide more information to motorists will: %u2022 Display oversized truck locations (U.S. 83 Corridor only).%u2022 Send alerts on high wind, low visibility and ice/snow road conditions.%u2022 Operate on Amazon Alexa home speaker and app.%u2022 Integrate with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.%u2022 Enhance detour information.%u2022 Improve sharing of information for work zones.More information about KanDrive%u2019s new features and the U.S. 83 Advanced Technology Project can be found at https://ike.ksdot.gov/us-83-connected-vehicle-project.KDOT encourages motorists to use KanDrive to plan trips in advance.
