George Ronald Christmas
was awarded the Navy
Cross and Purple Heart for
his valor in 1968 during the
Vietnam War. He served on
active duty in the Marine
Corps for 34 years, retiring
in 1996. He served as
President and CEO of the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation
and he spearheaded fundraising for the Marine Corps Museum
at Quantico, VA.
