contrary, one who thinks that the item he has bought
from the market is from one angle a divine gift, and
from another angle, a gift from humanity, and that his
own contribution to it is nil, will certainly feel humbled.
There is no greater virtue than modesty.
If an individual acknowledges the contribution
of others, it will cause him to be modest and think
positively. Such an attitude and way of thinking are the
source of all kinds of social good. Failing this, arrogance
and pride – which are the root cause of all social evils –
will ultimately prevail.
The Power of Peace
This formula for peace is of a broad-ranging nature, that is,
it is applicable at both individual and national levels. Adopt a
peaceful course of action, and your success will be guaranteed.
he power of peace is greater and more effective than
Tthe power of violence. Constructive goals can be
achieved only through peaceful means, while the use of
violence leads nowhere except to ruination.
There is a very interesting example of this in Indian
history in the not too far distant past. The freedom
struggle of India started in 1857, with the leaders of that
period attempting to liberate their country from British
rule by resorting to violence. This trend continued up to
