Bio
Ron is definitely a rare find in the cowboy poetry arena…known as the “Gentleman Cowboy Poet”, his
warm hearted easy going humorous stories and tender poems of the range will leave your audience
wanting more. Ron is a favorite around western storytelling events and cowboy gatherings. He is well
versed in the old classics as well as his own special poetry. One minute he will share tender stories of
the range and the next moment he will have you laughing out loud at one of Bucky and Nate’s hilarious
adventures. Ron is well known for stories of two Nevada cowboys that can’t stay out of trouble while
trying to do the right thing, most of the time.
Ron was one of the feature poets at the Jackson Hole, Wyoming Old West Days as well as performing at
western cowboy poetry gatherings around Nevada, Arizona and Northern California. His regular
appearances include the Gold Hill Hotel in Virginia City Nevada, the Rhymers Rodeer annual cowboy
poetry gathering at the Carson Valley Inn Casino, the Red Mule Ranch show in Fiddletown, Ca. hosted
by Ron and Marie Scofield. In Arizona he was featured twice at the Cochise cowboy poetry gathering in
Sierra Vista, AZ.
