Grandma would always bring out old photos whenever we stopped by for a visit. She favored
Ice Cream and always had a treat waiting for her grandchildren.
Grandma’s Poem
Mercy look at all these children
With a twinkle and a smile
Why don’t you take your hat off
We’ll visit for a while
I was looking at some pictures
Oh you remember that
Those funny looking outfits
And Grandpa with his hat
Would you like some ice cream?
I have your favorite kind
Perhaps you’d like some strawberry
It’s right here next to mine.
Every story brought a chuckle
I’ll bet you’d never guess
Mirthful tales of Auntie Carolyn,
Bernice and Uncle Wes.
Why thank you for the visit
Sure seems like quite a while
Mercy look at all these children
Their twinkle and their smile.
