While walking, Megan stopped me and said,

"Willie, I overheard everyone in the office talking

about not having money for lunch. I wanted to help

give you some money so you can eat." She reached

down in her pocket and pulled out a $5 bill and said,
"this is for you to eat, and you don't have to pay it

back." I was shocked! I told her, "Thank you!" She
said, "No, problem. That's what friends are for." I

hugged her and started walking back to the cafeteria.

21 YEARS LATER

Knock! Knock!

Me: "Who is it?"

Ashanti: "It's me, Ashanti." Me: "Come on in."

Ashanti: "Dad, I have to talk to you and Mom."

Me: "OK, what's on your mind?"

Ashanti: "Dad, my friend is not eating at school."

Me: "Why is she not eating?"

Ashanti: "I don't know."
