COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT
Additional development along Florence Road, and construction of apartments in Thistle Downs
may provide an adequate population for support of retail businesses in the Planned Unit
Development. Also, the improvement and relocation of Florence Road will provide more
potential for viability of commercial development.
For theses reasons, Section 5 of the Planned Unit Development is proposed for commercial use
along the Florence Road frontage (Refer to page 39 for location of Section 5). Time frame for this
Section is approximately 7-8 years from present. Projected development will generally conform
with City of Murfreesboro CF district. Specific development standards and proposed uses are
listed on pages 37 and 38.
A conceptual layout of the proposed development is included on page 40. The layout shows a
total building area of 40,000 square feet.
