ABOUT THISTLE DOWNS
INTRODUCTION
Fortress Builders, Inc. is requesting annexation and re-zoning of 49.09 acres of land in the 7th Civil
District of Rutherford County, located in the northwest quadrant of the intersection of Florence Road
and Interstate 24 (see Vicinity Map on page 6). This request will continue the development of
Thistle Downs, an existing single-family residential development now in the City of Murfreesboro.
Planned Unit Development (PUD) zoning is requested for the land to be annexed, to accommodate
development of (1) additional single-family detached housing; (2) multi-family housing (apartments);
and (3) commercial development on acreage fronting on Florence Road. Refer to the Planned Unit
Development Plot Plan on page 7 for an overall view of the proposed development. Enlarged views
of each Section of the development are included as follows:
