‘At the Cosmic Altar— Genesis’. The Sistine Chapel
Alter Realism
This composition finds an expression and approach to the emanation of the Divine Consciousness,
that is; God separated from God’s self within the imagination of the mind of God.
The point of ultimate detachment of God’s self from the undisclosed centre of the being of God is
humankind through the grace of free will. It is the Consciousness of God that gives existence to the
spiritual plane of linear time, along with formed matter and equally gives existence to the soul and
being of humankind.
The Consciousness of God experiences God’s self from a detached viewpoint, through Creation acting
as a mirror in order to reflect the presence of God in all things.
The ultimate being is humankind created in the image of God, the soul and the human material temple
formed from the primordial elements of the cosmos, through the creative intent of the Divine.
The composition works from the act of God creating Adam, Michelangelo’s painted section within the
Sistine Chapel ceiling {1508-1512}. Here the Divine Trinity is represented by God initiating the
creation through the Christos the point of light , and Sophia divine wisdom binding the creative intent
into manifestation.
