Fantasy Alter Realism: Clair du Lune
‘The Alter Realist’ composition forms an arrangement of elements that explore the mystery of night under the moonlight.
The title of the composition ‘Clair du Lune’ references Claude Debussy’s piece of esoteric music that captures the magic of moonlight with
its dissolving light of solidity and merging ambiences.
The title also refers to the relationship between the couple, as the music communicates to them both. It transcends time and space shared
within each consciousness.
As the music is played, so the world unfolds in a dreamlike way.
The composition was inspired from a visit to Woodchester Park at Nympsfield, Gloucestershire—a mid 1850’s Gothic revival dreamlike place
designed by the architects Charles Hansom and A.W.N. Pugin for the Leigh family and which was never fully completed. It is left as a unique
architectural legacy.
