‘Cosmic Creation: the Mirrors of the Divine Absolute’ -Alter Realism
Mirrors elude to the multi faceted presence of the Divine Absolute consciousness through the emanated Divine Trinity and
through the Word (or Cosmic Christ) and agency of Divine Wisdom , named ‘Sophia’.
Mirrors also elude to the multi faceted vision of world religions, each with a unique historical perspective and acting as a
spoke connected to the hub of the wheel of human understanding of God. The collective cohesion and acceptance
becomes the rim of the wheel ; thereby allowing progressive movement.
Nothing lies outside of the existence of the Divine Absolute Consciousness, in a form of Holographic and covariant
quantum field expression {albeit the language of science may apply to science only and maybe all human language is
most probably not identical to divine language in a cosmic sense} each facet or mirror holds a truth , being a particular
insight and yet are inextricably connected through the emanated Consciousness of the Divine Absolute.
The composition explores the emanation of the Divine as an outer manifested form to mirror the undisclosed
Divine Being.
The elements of the narrative are derived from a Basilica Cupola where the background patterning alludes to the cosmos
is taken from the ceiling depicting the cosmos located in the Egyptian collection. The Arnaldo Pomodoro 1990 sculpture
‘Sphere within a Sphere’ located in the Pinecone Courtyard in the Vatican Museums was used to present the created
earth. The sphere in its incomplete, eroded form can be seen as humankind’s effect on the earth. Yet, underlying is the
Divine Presence symbolising the Astral Plane of spiritual consciousness of the earth.
An exhibit of opaque blue glass (2nd - 1st century B.C ) presented in the Gregorian Etruscan Museum depicts the earth’s
surface. The symbol for the mirrored presence of the Divine is seen as hovering in front of the earth, this is referenced
from a Basilica copular centre section.
