The Wisteria at Iford Manor is always spectacular amidst the Italianate terraces .
The garden was designed by Sir Harold Peto who was a prominent garden architect in the
19th century.
This canvas was worked up in the studio from my en-plein-air panel completed on site.
The pair of hounds, perched on their plinths are central to this composition, aesthetically
beautiful and regal in their own right and the shafts of sunlight and shadows adding the
finishing touch.
