This en-plein-air panel was painted on a glorious day in early may, thanks to the
generosity and flexibility from Mr Roger Head and family.

The abundance of magnolia blossoms and bright yellow tulips contrasting with the
shady background, allowed for the dramatic contrast and dynamism of this rare and

perfect spring-time composition.
