Studland Bay– Dorset
From the inlet at Poole Harbour stretching around to Ballard Down and ‘Old Harry and his Wife’{ an outcrop of
detached chalk cliffs due to erosion by sea action}. The four mile stretch of beaches forming Studland Bay { just
under Studland village}. It is not only a very popular place for visitors and especially holiday makers, but also is a
very important wildlife reserve conserved by the Nation Trust, covering the beaches, the adjacent heathland that runs
inland to Poole Harbour waters and Brownsea Island.
