INTERVIEW WITH
THE HOMEOWNER
Q: What made you fall in love with the home?
A: We fell in love with the openness of the home the moment we stepped through the door. With
a big family, this space worked SO well for us! Its airy atmosphere and abundance of natural
light instantly wowed us! Being close to downtown, yet nestled in a serene neighborhood,
added to its charm. The seamless flow between rooms and the ability to entertain guests while
still feeling connected to every corner of the house made it feel like the perfect place to call
home from the very beginning.
Q: Why are you moving?
A: We received a new and exciting job opportunity in Texas, where we will be relocating to. It is
bittersweet actually, because we wish we didn’t have to leave our beautiful home! However, we
are so excited and happy to know there will be a new family to love this space just as much as
we have these last few years.
Q: Anything special about the neighbors/neighborhood that made living here so fun?
A: Our amazing and welcoming neighbors will probably be what we will miss MOST! This street
is filled with the kindest, most helpful neighbors anyone could ask for! Our kids loved to
play with the others on the street, and we were always greeted with a warm smile & wave on
our nightly walks. Something many people don't know about is access to Mill River right at
the end of our street. We all take our kayaks and paddle boards out on a beautiful summer
day. We just hop right in the water, and this river leads all the way to the Sound! It has also
been a dream walking into downtown from our house, this is a prime Fairfield location to
indulge in everything Fairfield had to offer us.
Q: Tell me about the grounds…
A: We have been so thankful for our flat yard. Playing soccer, grilling and entertaining has
been so much fun. We just hosted our child’s 11th birthday, and the kids had an absolute
blast playing in the yard. Being from New York, the proximity to I-95 didn’t bother us; it’s
more white noise than anything. The house itself is also soundproof, so the only time we
ever hear the highway is when we’re outside. Additionally, we all have been hearing talks of
sound barriers soon to be built along I-95, which will make the noise an issue of the past for
our street!
