TOP TEN Things we’ll miss about life at 107 Lamplighter Lane
1. Living in a one-level home with no stairs. It was really convenient having
our living area, kitchen, & bedrooms all on the same level. When our
children were born we realized the safety benefit of this too!
2. Lamplighter Lane is a very quiet street. There is no through-traffic so it’s
very peaceful
3. We will really miss the friendly neighborhood community we have been
a part of since moving here from out of town. Everyone was very
welcoming. Our children have made friends with other kids who live
nearby.
4. Proximity to Route 15/Merritt Parkway. Just a two-minute drive to the
nearest entrance/exit made the commute to work easier.
5. The beach and splash pad at the lake. Just a couple of streets over and
you’re there! Our boys loved running under the spraying water to cool
off in the summer months. There’s a playground there and we enjoyed
building sandcastles on the beach.
6. Our vegetable garden in the back yard. We grew all sorts of produce
from tomatoes to lettuce. It was fun to have our kids help out in the
garden and in the kitchen.
7. The eat-in-kitchen. I loved being able to cook while watching my sons
playing an activity close by. I envisioned watching them do their
homework there one day but our move came sooner than we had
planned.
8. The sun-room off the bonus room. In the winter it was nice to watch the
snow falling from all of windows in that room.
9. The exterior vinyl siding was great because there wasn’t a lot of
maintenance to it like homes with wood siding. We only had to power-
wash it every couple of years.
10. The comfort of having central air! When we
first purchased this home, it did not have air-
conditioning. What a difference it made to
our everyday lives. It was great to come
home from a hot day at the beach to a
comfortable, cool home.
