THE STORY
OF NORWALK
Norwalk, Connecticut, is a picturesque city
located on the coast of the Long Island
Sound, perfectly positioned between the
bustling metropolis of New York City and the
charming town of New Haven. The city's deep
roots in industrial history are evident in its
architecture and landmarks, serving as a
reminder of its prosperous past.
Norwalk remains vibrant and thriving,
offering residents a unique blend of old-
world charm and modern amenities.
Comparable in size to Manhattan, Norwalk is
home to hundreds of neighborhoods, each
with its own distinct character, from beach
community capes and country farm living to
historic Victorian areas and more. The
expansive size of the city allows for two
downtown areas, located in both North and
South Norwalk.
The lovely streets of Norwalk are not the only
draw for residents. The town also offers a
wide variety of recreational and leisure
activities. The community comes together for
arts and cultural events, such as the SoNo
Arts Festival, which continues to foster local
talent. To enjoy the natural beauty of the city,
residents can visit places like Cranbury Park,
Veterans Memorial Park, and many other
scenic spots.
This enviable lifestyle becomes even more
compelling when considering Norwalk’s
excellent transportation access to New
England and New York’s economic, sports,
and cultural opportunities via Metro-North,
I-95, the Merritt Parkway, and Route 7.
