TOP 10 THINGS WE'LL MISS ABOUT LIFE ON PROSPECT ROAD
1. Being in a "Cape Cod" like community without the 8, hour round trip
drive every weekend. Watching the Sun set into the water in the summertime
with clouds painting the sky. Shore front, al fresco, dining with guests on the
bluestone patio. Seeing the water change colors with the changing weather,
Moonlight shimmering on the water during a clear night with a full moon.
2. Unobstructed views of sailboat races and the Port Jefferson Ferry crisscrossing
several times a day. Seagulls in the Summer and hundreds of ducks in the Winter
bobbing on the water. Watching the fireworks up and down the Long Island shoreline
across the sound on the 4th of July.
3. Private Stratford Point Light enclave bordered by the Connecticut Audubon
Society Wildlife Sanctuary. The family of Great Egrets that return every Summer and
reside just off shore.
4. Walking down the seawall access steps to our 150, feet of private waterfront,
picking up shells, sea glass and driftwood with our grandchildren, strolling out on
the sandbar over 1,000, feet off shore and enjoying the panoramic views of the
lighthouse without getting into a boat.
5. Walking to the private (Lordship Residents Only) Russian Beach and then on to
Marnick's for an outdoor Summer cocktail or waterfront dining. Biking along the
shoreline on flat streets with little traffic.
6. Opening the sliders for whole house ventilation and direct kitchen access to
the oversized bluestone, entertainment patio. Turning on the 600, watt, whole
yard, spot light for Summer evening backyard, lawn games.
7. Returning home after a long trip and loading all of the luggage into the
elevator for easy delivery to the second floor.
8. Sitting on the private Master Suite, waterside, second floor, balcony, for sunsets,
using the Game Room wet bar as an upstairs entertainment center.
9. Easy access to Metro North trains to Grand Central at the Stratford Center train
station. Always a seat on the train.
10. Lounging on the shaded patio under the cover of Sunsetter awnings while the sun
worshipers get to tan from the reflection of the glistening water.
