TOP 10 THINGS WE LOVE ABOUT LIFE AT 118 TUCKAHOE LANE
1. We love the town of Fairfield. We met on the Fairfield University
campus and have stayed involved with the university community through
the years. The university area of Fairfield really has so much to offer to
families living in the community.
2. We really enjoy the front porch that was built with great care by the builder
who hand laid the bricks himself. We love to sit on the porch to read to our
granddaughter and to talk to the neighbors walking by with their families and dogs.
3. We designed this home with my builder who had previously built three homes for us.
We wanted to create an open concept floor plan with a comfortable easy flow and
generous spaces for everyday living with plenty of natural sunlight coming in.
4. The flexible main floor design includes a first floor bedroom that can easily be used as
a home office space and a full first floor bathroom.
5. Having the main deck right off of both the kitchen and the family room sliders
6. really incorporates the outdoor living space into the open floor plan flow and creates a
lovely view from the kitchen.
7. We finished off the third floor of the house to create a great bonus room space
to use as a guest room, home office space or teen hangout, the choice is yours!
8. We have used this home as a gathering point for our family while we are in
Connecticut for the holidays. We love sitting around the fireplace in the family
room together in the evening for some holiday cheer with family and friends.
9. The house really lends itself to entertaining with ample room in the dining
room for large gatherings at Christmas and plenty of room on the expansive
main level deck and the stone patio in the backyard to use for summer
entertaining
10. We built the master suite to step up a bit to create that feeling of separate
space with a sitting area for relaxing, a lovely master bathroom and plenty of
closets.
11. The fully finished lower level provides a fourth level of flexible space that can be used
as a playroom (we use it as an extra TV space and home office space) with multiple
storage rooms and a mudroom to use as you come in from the garage.
