Top Ten
1. We've spent over ten years in this wonderful neighborhood and wish
we could take it with us!
2. The area is both family-friendly and also brings the best of the city with
it, since we're only a quick trip on the train to New York.
3. It's a mecca for the arts, with a number of literary, food, and art
festivals during the summer.
4. The schools are amazing, with small class sizes and very involved
teachers - ranked 9/10 or 10/10.
5. Every weekday we walk our kids to Stratfield Elementary School around
the corner. In the afternoon heading home, we take a shortcut through
the park, where the kids enjoy time on the playground with their
friends.
6. Walking to one of the libraries in town, which have some of the best
programs around - the Fairfield main library has devoted half of its
second floor to a kids' space that has a play castle, wooden trees, and a
special farm room for toddlers and babies.
7. On weekends, we grill on the barbecue with our awesome neighbors
or just enjoy some R&R hanging out on our back patio.
8. Our kitchen is organized for those who love to cook, with lots of space
to work or entertain in, stone countertops, and a large bookshelf to
keep lots of cookbooks.
9. With the extra space in our home and a whole separate "suite" upstairs
in the back, we often entertain guests from out of town.
We're also not far from larger cities, such as Boston, Providence, and
New York, and often either take the train or drive there for a fun night
out.
