• The views of the beautiful Long Island Sound from virtually every window
• Sitting on our patio enjoying breakfast, lunch and dinner for almost 8 months a year!
• Our view of the lighthouse that changes with every season
• Watching the clam boats pass by at 7am and 3pm. Exactly. Everyday.
• The simplicity of just walking down our path to cool off on our own beach on a hot summer day
• Watching the migrating birds at rest on the Long Island Sound in the spring and fall
• Sitting by our fireplace on a snowy afternoon, watching the water react to the weather
• The moon glistening off the water
• The lights glowing across the water from Long Island at night
• Watching storms/lightening pass miles away across the Long island Sound
• Watching dozens of July 4th fireworks’ displays over in Long Island throughout the whole summer!
• Hosting Thanksgiving dinner for a blended family of 39!
• Being able to cook while being in the middle of the festivities
• Hosting the FIRST Margaritaville “Happy Hour” of the season every Friday of Memorial Day Weekend for a
hundred (new) Lordship friends.
• The beach covered in white, with winter snow.
• Our annual Easter Egg Hunt with grandchildren in the beach grass.
• Sundown beach cocktails anytime we want.
• The most magnificent sunrises possible- makes being up super early almost worth it.
• My “General Store” (nicknamed by my mom) that holds everything I could ever need.
• Walking down the beach to THE BEST Sunday summer breakfasts on the patio at historic Marnick’s.
• Our “Ghost Birds” — seagulls soaring at the summer sunset with the rays’ reflection on their wings that
makes them look “celestial!” So pretty & unique — have to be seen!
• Being able to say, “This is MY beach. I own it.”
