Interview with the Homeowner
Q: What made you fall in love with this home?
A: We have always loved the look of an old world tudor home. But it had all the modern con-
veniences we couldn't live without. The history of this home is rich. It was owned by Mr. &
Mrs Schwartz in the 1970's-1980's. He was a prominent attorney in the area. As payment,
one of his clients gave him a stainless steel ice cream parlor down in the basement. Com-
plete with fountains, faucets and freezers. Children would come from all over to the ice
cream parties at the Schwartzs home on Sundays. They even made aprons with the picture
of the house on it. We will pass the last apron along to the new owners. The previous own-
ers gave us the apron and we have saved it.
Q: Tell me about the area.
A: The neighborhood is truly fantastic. The gorgeous mature greenery lines Toilsome each
Spring-Summer. We have taken many walks along the winding streets with our dogs. It's
safe and quiet and well maintained. We can get onto the major highways in just several
minutes but still feel like we have total privacy on the beautiful grounds.
Q: Have you done any renovating?
A: From top to bottom there have made some wonderful improvement. New windows
throughout, pool redone, every one of the 7 bathroom redone, floors replaced and kitch-
en appliances updated. We have maintained our home because we truly love it and take
pride in how we have really created a home.
Q: Why are you moving?
A: This is a bittersweet move that we are making but our children have flown the coup and
we are building our dream home on a lake. We have many fond memories but we have de-
cided to leave this treasure to a new family. The time is now for others to enjoy its charm.
we have created over 20 years of lasting memories that we will take with us and cherish
forever.
