THE HOMEOWNER

When you were searching for the right home for your family in Westport, what
made you choose 116 Roseville Road?

When we were looking for a house in Fairfield County, there was limited inventory on the
market. Our agent brought us to 116 and when we first drove up the hill and saw the
property we fell in love with the setting, placement of the house and the pond. We looked
out every window and were so excited about the number and size of windows as well as the
views which were incredible. We understood that this property was very special with this
much land, so much privacy and yet so close to everything. We knew we could make the
house exactly how we wanted it but could never replicate the setting and the property.

I know there is so many unique things your home offers...what is one of your
top favorite features of the home?

One of the most special aspects of the property is the pond. It is shared with another
neighbor and we are both committed to the upkeep of the pond. It is full of fish, turtles and
in the summer, the frogs are incredibly noisy in a very special way. The pond attracts all
sorts of wildlife from deer, red fox and plenty of birds. Many mornings in the summer we
have our coffee on the front deck to enjoy the view. Most winters it freezes and we watch the
deer cross the pond at will. While we have never ice skated on the pond, the previous owner
did all the time.

Can you share a bit about the neighborhood?

We have 5 houses around us but you would never know. Over the years we have met all our
neighbors and they were always there to help if you needed it but completely respectful of
your privacy.

Do you use the pool much?

One of our most favorite parts of the property is the pool. Our most favorite day of the year
is when it opens in May. All of our family has enjoyed many weekends of swimming and
grilling in the summer. The pool stays open till mid October and we use it to swim laps and
enjoy the beautiful blue sky. A very nice feature is the house has an outside half bathroom
which is used to prevent the constant in/out in the summer. I always wanted a pool but the
family has really enjoyed it during our time here.
