INTERVIEW WITH THE HOMEOWNER
Q: What made you choose Monroe to build your home?
A: We decided to build as we both come from families that are in the construction business and
we had always had a design in mind for our perfect family home. As we began looking for
property, we stumbled upon Monroe, and fell in love with the town itself and especially Wolfe
Park and Great Hollow Lake. We could imagine spending many a weekend there with our kids,
that were 3 and 5 at the time,,, which we did for years to come. Monroe has grown since we
moved here with everything you could want; wonderful shopping and boutiques, fantastic
restaurants and amazing an school system.
Q: Tell me about the Neighborhood?
A: This neighborhood is amazing…we have made lifelong friends with many of the families on
Crown View and Manor as the kids grew up together. We had weekly playdates when they were
small, and that developed into weekend trips to ski in VT and camp at Hammonasset State
Park. Many are out walking the dog or going for a run, and everyone waves and looks out for
one another. Truly a special place to live!
Q: What is your favorite feature of the house?
A: There is definitely more than one favorite feature of this home that we love! A definite is
having morning coffee on the patio, steps from the house. The back of the house has shade all
morning, so we enjoy cool summer mornings watching the birds and enjoying the perennial
garden and the colorful blooms. Another favorite is having friends over for an evening glass of
wine around the firepit… so much fun. And for sure, watching the Super Bowl on the big screen
in the Great Room is a fan favorite!
Q: Why are you moving?
A: After 23 wonderful years in this beautiful home and wonderful neighborhood, it’s time to
downsize to something smaller. Our kids are now grown and we look forward to travelling more
and working less. We are excited for a new family to make new memories here and love it just
as much!
