TOP 10 THINGS WE'LL MISS ABOUT LIFE AT 750 BURR STREET ...
1. The spa/resort like atmosphere both inside and out with
comfortable elegant rooms, a gorgeous pool and setting, and our
ability to feel like we are away on vacation at an elegant resort while still
enjoying the comforts of home.
2. Being able to invite our extended families for a weekend of activities and
celebrations and having the room to house everyone discreetly on the property
without anyone feeling crowded.
3. The feeling of living in an enclave behind our gates yet still being located on a
very accessible street which provides us easy direct access to downtown Fairfield or
ready access to both major highways. Directions to out of town guests are simple
to follow making this house an easy destination.
4. Curling up with a bag of hot popcorn in our comfy first floor media room (the TV
was replaced in 2014!)for a football game by the fire on a cool fall day.
5. Having a rousing game of volleyball/badminton and yes, even Ultimate Frisbee
on the lawn on a hot summer day and falling in to the pool to cool off before the
barbecue gets fired up.
6. Sitting with the morning coffee on the deck outside the master bedroom
sitting room with the paper and our dogs on a beautiful day and being able to
look out and over our beautiful back yard and gardens.
7. After a long workout in the gym downstairs, being able to relax in the master
bedroom Jacuzzi bath by the fire with some champagne.
8. Knowing that our kitchen, which has been the scene of many winter ping-
pong tournaments, is also large enough to accommodate all of our party guests
when we have one of our many celebrations.
9. Being so accessible to the highways travelling anywhere is a breeze - from
downtown NYC (in any easy hour) to the Tappan Zee Bridge (45 min) to LGA (45 min).
10. When we completely rebuilt the house everything we could think of was redone and
since then we have constantly upgraded everything from Creston computer controlled
lighting to replacing worn out windows. Our overriding desire was to convert a “house” in to
a “home”. We will miss our home.
